ICE-RS cycle 2007-01-11
Summary
In the previous cycle the python renderer reached the stage where it passed for all the existing unit tests... well the ones that count anyway and so far it is proving to be substantially quicker. On the application side for the next cycle we will be focused on extending the unit tests and continuing on the new renderer. We will also be writing a Python module to resize the gifs produced by MathType.
Daniel meet with the ARROW team at Monash university last cycle to assist with the installation of ICE, where we worked out that it is better if the Subversion repository is setup and working before worrying about installing ICE. However, it was still worth while meeting the team. Daniel was also a 'guest' speaker at the USQ Early Researcher Group final meeting for 2006 , which Daniel will attend on a regular basis.
Unfortunately... due to the compulsory closing of USQ for staff over the Christmas and new year break this next cycle will be a 3 working week cycle instead of 1 week and then a 2 week cycle.
