ICE cycle 2008-03-03
Summary
The previous cycle began with preparation work for Peter Murray-Rust's visit on the 11th - 13th of February, you can read more about his visit from Peter Sefton on his blog. Preparation mainly consisted of refining the plugin architecture for ICE and Jmol as a web service. Outcomes of Peters visit included being able to embed CML, added a .svg preview of CML and RSS to .odt.
Other work carried out in the previous cycle was interface updates and making ICE 2.0 demo ready, this work continue in this cycle. I (Daniel) am on leave this cycle, Ron and Oliver will be busy working on some of the finishing touches so we can have the server version setup for some of our users to start piloting. We have also experienced some performance problems with our ICE open source server so there may be some down time of http://ice.usq.edu.au which hosts the website, source code and blog.
