ICE cycle 2008-03-13
Summary
The previous cycle consisted of maintenance tasks for the web server in order to help resolve performance problems issues. Development tasks included a converter for .svg to bitmap as well as a service that takes ChemDraw objects and creates CML files (we'll try and get some demos out soon). We had aimed to have an ICE 2.0 server setup to start testing with USQ courseware however, due to factors out of our control this did not occur.
The cycle we are focusing on tasks for the ICE 2.0 server so we can start testing with courseware. Other tasks include migrating our website server over to a new host machine within USQ (hopefully this will also help with performance problems); And implementing some proof-of-concept ideas that have stemmed from an LFII workshop held last month, including features for portable devices, more detail below. We have also been able to arrange for Linda to help us out again, she'll be starting in the middle of this cycle so momentum will be greater again (we'd like to thank all the powers at be for this).
Note the cycle notes have been published later this cycle and there wasn't an official meeting due to staff being away.
Predicted work units: 60 – (8 day cycle)

About the cycle notes
The cycle notes are used to summarize the outcomes of the completed cycle and provide stake-holders with an overview of the tasks for the next cycle. They are also used to raise any issues for discussion and provide other information for those who are unable to attend the meetings. Specific information on tasks to be completed are available in the ticketing system, see below.
