ICE cycle 2008-03-27
Summary
The previous cycle consisted of tasks relating to getting ICE version 2.0 stable and the server version ready for testing. Unfortunately, progress has been slower than expected, so we'll be (Ron mostly) madly getting something working even if it's within the dev team this cycle. Thanks to Oliver we have progressed on the text to speech proof-of-concept demo as well as an ICE service for GeoGebra and ChemDraw, more about this in the coming weeks. There is an audio version of these cycle notes on the web site as an example of the text to speech - Note we'll be working on the speech quality by trying different voices and systems, we have started with Festival.
This cycle there'll be less focus on new features and more on finishing off the ones we have. We'll also be releasing a developers binary of ICE version 2.0 and move over to our new open source server hosted here at USQ (there be some down time scheduled).

About the cycle notes
The cycle notes are used to summarize the outcomes of the completed cycle and provide stake-holders with an overview of the tasks for the next cycle. They are also used to raise any issues for discussion and provide other information for those who are unable to attend the meetings. Specific information on tasks to be completed are available in the ticketing system, see below.
