Option 1 – Unicode

From the Menu, select Insert > Symbol > Symbols Tab > Font: Arial Unicode MS > Character code: Type in the code (see list below) > from: Unicode (hex) > Click the Insert button.

Option 2 – Keyboard

Use a keyboard shortcut if listed. Ensure the Num Lock is active before using a keyboard shortcut with <Alt> followed by a number (e.g. <Alt> + <0150>). Press <Alt> + the numbers using the numeric keypad then release <Alt>.

Option 3 – Special characters

Commonly used special characters (e.g. En Dash and copyright symbol) can be inserted via the the Insert menu. From the Menu, select Insert > Symbol > Special Characters tab > Select the required character > Click the Insert button.
